Hanne Trappeniers

Hanne Trappeniers is a PhD researcher working under the supervision of Prof. Lucca Geurts and Dr. Els Ortibus. Her research focuses on the development of serious therapeutic games for children with cerebral visual impairment. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering technology at KU Leuven campus Group T. Her master's thesis used VR as a way of reducing anxiety in children with cancer undergoing proton therapy. She is passionate about the symbiosis between healthcare and technology.
