Research in Engineering Technology

Researchers at the Faculty of Engineering Technology belong to one of the research departments within the Science, Engineering & Technology Group.

The research ranges from demand-driven fundamental research to applied research and valorisation. We always keep social needs in mind and try to contribute to further industrial development in Flanders, Belgium and Europe with special attention for SMEs.

Due to the spread of our faculty researchers on the various campuses in Flanders, they have both strong local and international ties and a large network of companies and businesses. Thorough knowledge and expertise can be built up, exchanged and further developed. Our researchers have practical experience in implementing knowledge and technology in various companies or in spin-offs.
