European Master of Science in Food Science, Technology and Business (BiFTec)

Looking for a Master's programme to foster innovation and technology in order to cope with the future needs and sustainability in food science, technology and business? This European programme has been co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union between 2015 and 2020.
Aim of the programme   A joint degree
To foster and develop knowledge and awareness of scientific trends and health issues in food science, technology and business in a global context. In addition, the course seeks to enhance student's professional competence in areas such as safety, management and ethics.  

The Consortium of the three European partner universities jointly have committed themselves to each offering part of the curriculum. Succesful graduates are awarded a joint degree.

The European Master of Science in Food Science, Technology and Business (BIFTEC) general course aims are targeting on preparing competent academics for the sector of food production and processing and the herewith linked service sectors.

Approximately 90% of the graduates of the preceding SEFOTECH.NUT course run from 2006 till 2016 are getting full employment resulting from an ample number of job applications and within a reasonable application time of six months. The academic level of the Master’s course is being proved by the ability of approximately 10% of graduates who continue their studies at third level making a PhD.

 

The development of a joint curriculum for BIFTEC programme took place during implementation of the previous project European Master of Food Science, Technology and Nutrition (SEFOTECH.NUT) run under Erasmus Mundus framework: 2005-2011 and 2010-2016.
